Helios man. An album should be in the mediafire thread.

Really anything ambient would work though.

Last bus home music: First Night and Lord, I'm Discouraged - The Hold Steady

Basically, drunken bar-rock ballads in 6/8 time.

Also Missed the Boat by Modest Mouse, and you've got to have 4A.M. by Cherry Ghost, because the first line is "It'll get you on the last bus home".

I am not kidding or exercising the slightest bit of exaggeration when I say that my house became immeasurably cleaner once I bought Alive 2007, so this doesn't surprise me at all.

I usually clean to the angriest music I can find.  Strapping Young Lad’s City or Ministry’s In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up cranked to 11.  It’s like FUCK YOU DIRT ARRRGHGHGGGG!!.

Good writing-term-papers music: Merzbow through headphones.  Nothing like noise to completely block out everything around you.

'Move On Now' by Hard Fi has an association for me with being on a bus, passing by grey suburbia, with the streetlights and shadows passing on my face.

Hell, he probably has an album called 'merzbus' just for the possibility it does happen. He made an album for everything else.

Depends what you're on the bus home from; but these days I'm generally tired out by that time, and my offering for the kind of music that makes the bus home seem timeless is Arvo Pärt's Passio.

Awesome on-your-knees-playing-air-guitar-and-rocking-the-fuck-out music:  Dinosaur Jr.

"Get Me" is probably one of the most rockin' songs ever.  Even if it's kind of slow.  The solos fucking destroy.

Good last bus home stuff would be EITS, Massive Attack, DJ Shadow or Grails.
Good my-girlfriend-is-all-sad-so-I'll-give-her-a-cuddle music is Slowdive, Stars of the Lid, Angel of Light, Helios or some softer Bowie songs.

"Last bus home" music: "Last train home," Lostprophets.

Good Lord do I ever love lostprophets.

anybody know any good studying music?  i'm procrastinating.

I've found pretty much any music without words is good study music.
If you prefer music with words, then use songs that are in a language you don't understand, so you don't focus on the words.
If you prefer english, then anything by Robert Johnson, Close to the Edge by Yes, and the later recordings of the Beatles all work nicely for me.
