I need some! my computer speakers seem to be kind of... subpar, and in light of the holiday season on it's way (a few months actually, but whatever)　I'm thinking of getting some new ones. So I have a pretty simple request: which ones should i get? Please don't recommend some $2,000 scientific engineered super speakers. Just some fairly cheap computer speakers that sound good (Please keep in mind that these are going to be used only for music and games.) Thank you all in advance :-).

Unless you're a gamer and have a lot of space on hand, a run-of-the-mill 2.1 speaker set should be more than sufficient for your needs. They run from $40-60, generally.

5.1 suck! They are only for pansies and jerks!

Logitech makes awesome speakers. Try the Z2300 if you have the extra cash, or the Z4 if you don't.

I have never had complaints about Altec Lansing, and their computer speakers are generally inexpensive.

I got a set of Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers for $99 on sale from Amazon a year and a half ago and find them to be excellent for the money. They're probably even cheaper now unless they've been replaced by a newer model.
