@ Benji: I participated in rugby for 4 years and still don't understand either code, I also don't understand cricket or AFL for that matter and believe me, I have tried.

Yeah, I get Rugby pretty well. About as well as I get American Football, I think. Both games seem to have their fare share of arcane rules. Cricket, on the other hand, all of the rules seem arcane to me.

Mugby is the king of sporting codes and I'll elbow anyone that disagrees.
