Garp:
if you get to know me you will be glad i'm not coming. i am a pretty awful person in real life.
by the way, if anyone here starts hating me for a specific reason, don't hesitate to tell me, i'll try to accomodate as fast as possible. i am afraid i might break a few rules or maybe make unwritten faux pas(es?) (i assume there are at least a few, i see the forum is pretty old), if i do so consistently please let me know.
(you can tell me to go away if i am completely horrible as well, i don't mind)
tania:
sometimes we do come off as unnecessarily harsh to new folks but that is mainly on account that a lot of them end up either being trolls or attention-seeking assholes and you start to expect the worst after a while. underneath the hardened exterior, i promise we really are a friendly bunch of people. sometimes we even hang out in real life as evidenced by this thread. since you're asking, some ground rules are maybe to to put a bit of thought into your posts (just along the lines of, will people want to read this?), refrain from sexually harassing other posters, and overall not be a massive asshole. basic social skills pretty much. i mean, right now i think you are doing fine and don't seem horrible at all so it seems like you pretty much have that down already. our intention isn't to be exclusive or judgmental, all we really do on these forums is hang around and talk about stuff and it's nice to hear what other people have to say so don't be afraid to contribute to any thread whenever you want.
