Christophe:
Anyone else here on the boards big fans of these games (X-Com, Jagged Alliance sort of stuff)? Being a big fan of these kinds of games, it's always baffled me why computer companies don't produce more and more of these games, and the ones that aren't in the Jagged Alliance series almost invariably suck. I tried out the demo version of Silent Storm and enjoyed it, but I feel that the interface can get clumsy fast (maybe I just need to play it more).

satsugaikaze:
The only reason why computer companies don't make so many of these is that the interfaces themselves - they're hard to innovate. Plus, making too many of those would make the genre go old very fast. A few of these games also end up looking like carbon copies of other ones.

Fletch:
I just started playing Operation Darkness. (xbox 360) It's ok.

Christophe:
Are there any good mods for Silent Storm? While I enjoy WWII-era games, using WWII-era weaponry can get tiring, and I'm not sure how I feel about the futuristic weaponry (Panzerkleins) that's in the game.

Christophe:
Has anyone played Brigade E5 or 7.62MM? Apparently they're spiritual successors to the Jagged Alliance series but both are apparently full of bugs and crappy interfaces. Something Awful did a Let's Play of the latter, and while the game was enjoyed, the player found far too many bugs to have to deal with, and ended the game in a hail of bullets, resulting in the death of the entire squad.

Also, was Fallout Tactics a good game?
