Vote, VOTE, VOOOOOOOTE!!!!

KickThatBathProf:
I was at a Girl Talk show. On stage. The election coverage was on a screen behind the crowd.

Scandanavian War Machine:
okay you win

jeez

Lines:
I'd just gotten home from the sports bar I mentioned earlier. I'd left the TV on and heard it as I was walking in the house.

0bsessions:
I was in my bedroom, sitting at my computer watching coverage with my roommate, who had just gotten home from work. We were switching around between CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox News (We figured any close states called blue by Fox were in the clear) and Comedy Central.

I watched Jon Stewart call it at eleven PM, which was strangely pleasing to me senses.

The look of Stephen Colbert was priceless. He simply couldn't stay in character anymore. It was a beautiful moment.

This thread's also made me realize: for the first time in a couple of decades, I will actually want to involve myself in the National Anthem at a baseball game.

I relate this far too much to being a Red Sox fan. There are so many fans these days who are not old enough to remember the gut punches of years past before the Sox started actually winning.

I didn't even consider that. Everyone I know remembers 2004 and watching Bush win after voting blue vividly. We remember the bitter "what the fuck" of feeling like your vote and effort did not amount to shit. I almost resent those of you who get to feel like you've made a difference from the get-go.

Dimmukane:
I was very inadequately trying to get homework done.  I kept refreshing CNN on my computer until I heard good news.
