Dimmukane those are more or less the exact words I was going to type. The only thing I have to add is that I was in Gabbly asking them when the speeches started so I knew when to turn on my nearly dead radio.

A mass of people just crowded outside the dorms and yelled and chanted and shared hugs and everyone was so excited. Everyone was so happy it was seemed like no one knew what to do. We paraded a cardboard cut-out of Obama for a while, and then it seemed everyone agreed that getting a bit drunk to celebrate was a good idea. And then there was an impromptu dance party which was massive and super crowded and lasted until security came and broke it up. It was beautiful.
I mean, shit. This is something people will remember.
Although I am pissed that California passed prop 8, as well as similar legislation being passed in Florida and Arizona. And that Alaska re-elected fucking Ted Stevens. And geez, Michelle Bachmann, what the heck Minnesota.
But at least Michigan legalized medicinal marijuana. And Washington passed the initiative about physician-assisted suicide.
Plus the whole Obama thing. That's pretty cool. I think...we may be on the upswing, at last.

I was on my couch alone all night watching every minute of CNN but it was fucking grand. Then I stayed up past 3 AM celebrating in Gabbly.
Fuck I just realized I could've been at that Girl Talk show though, if you mean the one in New York.

Man, I really wish I could've voted. Still, last night I just couldn't stop smiling as I walked through the Berkeley campus. It was a neat feeling. Neat, but bittersweet due to the props in CA.
So did anyone think President Bush's comments were kind of douchey? "Congratulations and go enjoy yourself." I mean in context it's generic congratulatory stuff but seriously, put 'go enjoy yourself' in the context of the mess Bush is leaving Obama.
