I might be going to the election night party at my university, though.
One thing that really bugs me about voting and/or democracy is that "vote, no matter who you vote for" attitude. If it didn't matter, why should you even bother voting?

An election doughnut sounds delicious! Too bad the Krispy Kreme franchises in my area closed because the owner went to jail or something. No doughnut for me :-(

That's not really what that statement means. It matters that you do vote, but it doesn't matter who you vote for. It is a basic non-partisan phrase that simply tries to encourage participation in our government (you know, that whole democracy thing)
