I heard in Austrailia the bugs are so big they have their own health bars anyway so I don't doubt for a second this is a true story.

That is true, but if you have a friend around you can normally link up for a combo chain and one-shot them, so grinding them for xp is still pretty quick.

i always wondered why Australians leveled up so fast.

Also because even our cute animals have huge, scimitar-like claws.
