A film a year for every year you've been alive

Above all else, I hate pretension and love honesty. The Librarian: Quest For the Spear is a god-awful movie. It's got a hackneyed plot and low budget and every other phrase is pure bromide, but god-damn if it doesn't go balls to the wall with its awfility. It's a no-holds barred embrace of awful made-for-TV cinema and I love it for it. It takes every single trope and loves it to death.
Shoot 'Em Up is that, but with a budget. They love all the awful action movie tropes and they take them to the extreme limit.
I love a movie with the honesty to stand up and say "I suck. And I'm awesome at it."
It's a hell of a lot better than a movie that tries to proclaim that it's awesome and then spews suck all over the place. I'm looking at you 99% of all independent films ever made.
KickThatBathProf:
And that's why you picked it? Sorry man but that's not really a good criterion
Surgoshan:
I said that my picks were movies I'd either want to own or in fact do own.
I do own it. I adore it. It's awesome. To the max.
Dimmukane:
In other words, he picked it because it's a great satire. It's a huge joke on everyone who didn't like the movie, basically. There must be some kind of science proving that people who can't laugh at this kind of thing are boring. Man, I was in tears when he killed those guys while having sex with the girl. And the fact that the movie ended at a diner. And just a lot of other parts.
