Persona 4
Trynant:
Teddie is not nearly as annoying as, say, any character from the new Sonic games.
I'd be rabidly addicted to this game were it not for my already existing addiction to WoW. Now I'm only mostly addicted to this game.
IMO the difference between Persona 3 and 4 is negligible and both warrant a purchase. The only one thing that makes me like Persona 4 more is OMG I CAN CONTROL MY ALLIES IN COMBAT WEWT x 100.
Jackie Blue:
One thing that bothers me is that the game is mostly a breezy ride to Easyland until you get to where I am, sitting at the save point before the 8-bit boss. I'm pretty sure I actually can beat him, but the one time I tried earlier was so annoying and seemed like it was going to take me about an hour.
Long boss fights in a game that already requires you to spend 1-2 hours to make any progress at all is a bit annoying.
And Teddie, just, why. I had a brief moment of relief when he earned his "human form", but that quickly evaporated when I realised that to use him in battle I'd have to use his "annoying as fuck" form. Who was the idiot that decided to make him a party member instead of Rise and to what address should I ship this dead ferret?
Also, I seriously laughed and went "Wow, just wow" when I started doing the Nurse social links. Oh, Japan, how I do so love your lassez-faire attitude towards prostitution.
Orcusmars:
I'm actually a fan of the series, got this game, and was rather impressed.
I thought the lead in was long, but it was kind of one of those things where it gave you a false sense of security, which made it excusable.
The system is a lot smoother, now, and I really like not having to scream in frustration at the ally AI.

--- Quote from: Jackie Blue on 19 Dec 2008, 17:09 --- I appreciate a good lead-in to a story, but Jesus, at least Persona 3 didn't throw several straight hours of conversation at you before you even had the option of controlling where your character goes.
--- End quote ---
By this do you mean that you can't even move the character, or that the game is extremely linear?
Cartilage Head:
He means that it is all story and you aren't doing ANYTHING but going through conversation for like two or three hours.
