I prefer to be cautiously optimistic than cynical all the time. It makes my day-to-day life a little less negative all the time that way.
I am interested to see what Obama gets up to. I am sure (as other people have said) he will make "good" and "bad" decisions, but it will still be interesting from a sort-of outsider perspective. I don't say that Australia is removed from US politics, especially not in the past when our Prime Minister was essentially Bush's lapdog, but we have a different governmental system, so seeing how the US tries to fix what "bad" decisions Bush made will be interesting to watch.
Man, I use the word interesting a lot.
