--- Quote from: deuxmind on 28 Jan 2009, 20:53 ---Honestly if Dora and Marten break up over this then I think the relationship was doomed from the beginning because every couple fights. In fact it's kind of healthy to. If you absolutely never quarrel with your SO then you're probably not communicating with them at all. It just happens in long term relationships. It only seems huge because Jeph doesn't write conflict much.
I always felt that the true test of love was not how much you love them when you're at your happiest but also loving them just the same when everything's gone to shit.
Woo comic. woo.

In total agreement.
Bushbr:
I liked this comic.
I think Marten is just sighing because he had a hectic day, and he knows tomorrow is going to bring more drama one way or the other, not necessarily sighing about Dora.
Faye is sighing like sum1 said before because she is fullfiled sexualy, but not emotionaly, and she knows/thinks she won't get that from Sven. But i also agree that if Marten and Faye were to get together it would most likely mark the soon to be end of QC
Now if Marten and Random hot college chick were to get together, that could start a whole new chapter of QC.... or kill it
Penelope is sighing for the obvious reason. she's lonely, on a side note how come we havn't really seen much of her lately?
Pintsize is sighing because he empathizes with his owner.....or just freak out Hanners
either way, great comic, a good gateway into many arcs
Golani:
I see that Jeph got tired of the "mystery-girl" plotline and decided to do this rather simple but nice 7-character panel.
Sigh. I wonder if the sighs mean anything, are simple expressions of not being able to sleep (other than Penelope), or ?
Pintsize and Hanners are funny as hell, +Shawn's remix of the scene a few posts ago was funny.
Mallli_kite:
I'm going through some of that "not being able to sleep" thing, and it can be quite sigh-inducing.
I really haven't found that much to bitch about this comic. I spent yesterday and today reading the archives for, I think, the third time (I read them all when I found the comic a couple years ago, and then read them a bit later when I missed some and had to catch up) and it just holds up. Yeah, continuity bits and pieces, but considering Jeph tends (judging from the news posts) to make it up as he goes with only a few pre-planned arcs, it holds up really well.
What really gets me is the time dilation/compression thing. I mean, for the characters a single day -- sometimes a single hour -- lasts for days in the strip, and we end up with a really weird perception of how the characters work. That's just interesting as hell to me when I look at what goes on here on the threads.
If it's interesting enough to read and talk about, it's good. If it's not good enough to read and talk about, time to do something else. No real point in bitching about it anyway. Lots of other stuff to read.
sporky800:
I want Steve to re-enter the comic and hit on Penny (there was a brief moment when everyone thought he would). It'd be interesting to see if Penny would remain "loyal" to Wil (even though they've technically only been on like 1 date, and he took off adventurying or whatever right after).
Also, to ppl complaining that there are no guys in the comic without Steve - Sven is also a dude!
