Blog Thread II: Beyond Blogosphere.
ViolentDove:
Hi Blog thread.
So, I got offered the internship I was after with this magazine. I'm pretty happy about it, but they couldn't give me a position until April. Which is somewhat inconvenient, as the internship is full-time for at least four weeks and unpaid. I can't really look for another lab job now, as requiring four weeks off will rule me out straight away, and nor can I work as a demonstrator at Uni part-time, which was my other plan. I also go back to studying in March, but will be part-time, and won't qualify for government assistance.
So I guess I'll be either a) living off my savings b) getting the dole or c) going back to casual hospitality work.
I'm currently excitement mixed with confusion. Woooo?
P.S. Romance and weirdness are great and fine things in life so long as you do not let them give you unreasonable expectations. The best relationship I've ever had was a romantic and weird one, I have to say, and I would not like to be without these things just because they might be considered juvenile by some.

Fun to say!
I called up some people to say nothing but play Wind Waker songs on my recorder
(My friends are kind of mad at me now)
ViolentDove:
I wish my friends would call me and play recorder.
Actually, once a friend of mine left a message on my phone that was composed of ambient jungle noises. It was pretty great.

My best friend once rang up just to sing 'I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts' on my phone. Then she constantly rang back and left little messages until she filled up my entire answering machine. It was the best thing to come home to!
Lunchbox:
Guys it seems my housing troubles are over, I have been approved for a tiny shoebox in Newtown.
However because I am a whore, this afternoon I also applied to two different studios in a building in Surry Hills. They are not as nice, but they are closer to work (I can walk there!) and closer to Oxford St and such and they are in a lovely neighbourhood WITH NO PLANE NOISE. I am kind of hoping I do not get approved for them though because then I would feel really bad about having to ring up the other lady and cancel and oh god I'll find out tomorrow anyway and then I move next Tuesday this is madness!
