So I'm working at my new job. Yay IT work! But every time I've tried to begin my training something goes wrong. First we ended up installing a server on a burnt-out blade, then the servers couldn't connect to one another, and now we lack a version of 32 bit MS Server 2008. So I'm not learning much.
At first I really didn't like this job, because it's in the College of Business. The College of Business is, at its core, the beer bong that funnels out the sludge of any given university's fraternity / sorority population into the gaping, whooping maw of polite society. So it's all bros, all the time here. Thankfully, I am still allowed to surf the internets while on the clock. So it's not as bad as it could've been.

I'm sitting here at Academic Advising, hoping they can get to me in the next 40 minutes. I'm supposed to have a class at 1, once I register.
It's not looking promising. A few of them just went for lunch.

i turned in my rental application for this sweet-ass house today! i hope i get it. it's pretty perfect: cheap, efficient, no neighbors, lots of woods and a creek, just as close to my job as my current house. yeah!!!
mostly i am looking forward to building a mini-ramp to skate, and being able to shoot guns off my back porch without people getting pissed.
