Dear blog thread,
I am probably going to buy a longboard skateboard after I move up to Alaska. I have been looking at Sector Nine boards and they seem pretty legit. But if there is something else I should consider, plz 2 let me know.
Love,
Me
P.S. I also want a new iMac, 'cause man, having heavily-abused secondhand shit break all the time really sucks.

Doesn't everyone?
Patrick, Sector Nine is jokes, like straight jokes. They make the bottom of the barrel entry level stuff, and really they aren't that good. I recommend Arbor if you want something pretty and classy that still looks like a classic longboard, and then there's this other company I can't remember the name of that makes amazing carving boards, they just look a little funky. I think the name starts with an E, but I could be wrong.

All of my friends ride loaded and say they are good, so yeah.

On the topic of longboards:
Sector 9 - the first longboard I got was a 93 cm old-school-shaped Sector 9 CA Roots. It was okay to learn but it was still a skateboard at heart.
Then I got a Flexdex (very heavy fiberglass board) that lost most of its spring because the material albeit nearly indestructible just doesn't pop like good wood does.
Loaded boards are where it's at. Two of my best friends who also longboard have a Dervish and a Vanguard. I myself have a Loaded Pintail and they are good stuff.
Depending on where you are located, certain other brands and companies may be cheaper and more readily available. I've only had good experiences with Landyachtz, for example.
But they cost ricockulous money over here; you get them for cheap in Canada.
