ah so something cool happened! I won a gold for a photo in a statewide juried art exhibition. this was my first time entering things and I've never had any recognition of my achievement in art so it feels really good. we went to boston during my art class (I uh missed french, too) to scope out the exhibit and see who won for individual submissions. still waiting to hear if my portfolio won anything.

What is the point of spending several hours editing the fairly badly written articles which were submitted five days late to the paper, only to find that the originals have been put into the paper without even a spell-check and you have to edit them all over again?
