You sound a lot like my girl Lunchy. I am far away and she is sad. That makes me feel bad

Summer is fucking with my sleeping schedule again; I woke up at 3:40 PM today. It is now 3:24 AM and I'm still not tired enough to sleep because I haven't been up for twelve hours yet. I am taking the SAT in five hours. I scored well enough to get into Davis last time but like, fuck, I'm going to do so much worse this time. I'm already so comfortable with being mediocre that I don't actually know why I bother trying a bit more because I don't even try that much, man can I just go to college already so I can actually enjoy my education

I am watching Frasier

There are okay things in my life, and there are not okay things in my life:

okay
-I got a promotion-ish. It does not come with a raise, though on Monday I will be somebody's boss.

-in a few hours, I'm going to see a lecture about space from fmr. Senator and fmr astronaut John Glenn! Should be interesting.

not okay
-I had a shit ton of anxiety attacks at work yesterday and accomplished nothing

-I'm on academic suspension at college. Ughhh, lovely. Way to go.

Anyway. Turns out I might have swine flu. Yay. I have something that I thought was a mild cold, but I found out today that one of my friends has swineflu.

but to a certain extent I'm actually hoping to have it, that way I'll at least get special conisderation for uni.

Um... I hope you don't have swineflu.  Or any flu.  Being sick sucks.

Today is going to be a good day!  Aside from the fact that I'm still coughing up some junk and sniffly and generally sick, today is starting really well.  I woke up, had a healthy breakfast with my child, did some of that Wii active thing... kinda lame, but whatever.  It's a beautiful day and I'm fitting into my favorite pair of jeans again!  I'm going to finish getting dressed and maybe sit on the porch with a glass of lemonade and a book and just watch the cars go by.  This is what people should do on Saturdays.

Wrong. Saturday is for activity! I am playing frisbee with my friends this afternoon.

(I skipped the John Glenn thing. No one wanted to go with me, and I figure hanging out with friends is better for this rash of depression/anxiety)

Polly brought me a young rabbit last weekend - she broke its neck first though, so I couldn't feel I had to make her drop it.  This follows a squirrel and a rat on previous occasions; I don't mind, as they are all pests.  She chased a fluffy duckling recently too, but left it alone on command.

My cat is so hopeless at catching things other than cockroaches and the tiny lizards that live in the gardens, and when she does try and kill something, she stalks magpies, which would beat her up (and win) if she tried anything. Silly cat.

My dog has never caught anything really. We kept an eye on her as a puppy, and then she developed diabetes and is pretty much blind now, so other animals have very little to fear from her.

One time my cat caught a tiny little snake with stripes down its back, and bought it into the kitchen happily. I was intrigued and picked it up and took pictures of it because it seemed quite docile and I figured because it was so small it could be a legless lizard, besides, none of the dangerous snakes around here have stripes.
After I'd taken it into the bush to set it free we found it on the internet and turns out it was a juvenile King Brown, which is Australia's most poisonous snake. Oh well.
Also Tiger catches birds and mice but luckily there aren't any of them around my apartment. Instead she focuses on picking up cat biscuits and deposting them on the floor and then throwing them and chasing them around the living room.

Also thanks you guys for being so lovely. It is appreciated!
I went out with that dude last night and it was fun (it did involve a dodgy dodgy warehouse and smoking rollies on taped-up couches inside and drinking longnecks and cheap red wine in brown bags), I did not make out with him but he asked to take me out if things finish with my boyfriend. I need to keep a list of dudes who want to do that, imagine the free drinks I could get.

My dog Maggie kills everything, up to and including birds.  :-(

Strangely enough, so does my dog named Maggie.

Blaggy,

I think I'm going to quit my job because I'm started to have little psychotic breakdowns where I'm just curled up in a corner muttering back at all these little voices screaming at me how worthless I am. I called in sick today because I just can not do this. I spend today, instead, doing yard work and playing N64, and now only feel numb instead of fucked up like I would have if I worked today.

I do work tomorrow though, shit.

Oh, and I bought a TON of used CD's today, all for like one or two dollars each.

Listy list of them:

Bal-Sogoth - Atlantis Ascendant; Starfire Burning Upon the Ice-Veiled Throne of Ultima Thule; and The Power Cosmic

Bal-Sogoth is a band I've only just discovered and they're sort of this prog-metal band that sings about space aliens and what could be stories by J.R.R. Tolkien. That is, if Tolkien played prog metal.

Type O Negative - Slow, Deep and Hard; and The Origin of Feces
Sepultra - Chaos A.D.
White Zombie - Astro-Creep
Elton John - Madman Across the Water
The Mamas and the Papas - Best of
Tesla - The Great Radio Controversy
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication
Ziggy Marley - Live
Paul Simon - Negotiations and Love Songs

I had this one already but the used one was in better condition than me. lulz.

Depeche Mode - Violator
Metallica - Kill 'Em All
Joe Walsh - The Best of

Then some vinyl records and some tapes, including some Kitaro, Mozart, Herman's Hermits, and Woody Guthrie. New music makes me crazy happy, especially when it is cheap. Some of this stuff is even good.

Man, this week was tiring as hell. Headed down to see my dying grandfather, while we are down there one of our cousins discovers she's diabetic by going into diabetic shock while driving and crashing the car, somehow managing to hit a tree ten feet up the trunk, breaking both her arms and her pelvis. She required surgery and last i heard made it through that and is stabilized. Kat and I left Saturday and found that Grandpa had died a few hours after we left. At the very least everyone got to see him before he went.

Blug Thrid! Yesterday I went to Howie's (it's a LAN center; a couple hundred computers, 50 or so xbox 360's, the whole deal) and played violent computer games for about 8 hours. Also, I saw this cute blonde girl who seemed to be about my age (15), dressed up as Misa from Death Note (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misa_Amane) playing DDR in Howies. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY MY DREAM GIRL GUYS. If only I had talked to her. hm.

So my exams on Thursday went so well that I can't find any motivation to work for the remaining nine. I have two tomorrow, one on Wednesday and one on Thursday and I have done not a jot of work in four days.

Oh well.

Did I tell you guys that I got my dollars? I got my dollars. Now I am fairly penniless for two weeks, but I have to buy a birthday present because I'm going to another party! I'm quite the party animal these days.

I bought the 5th DVD from the series this summer and it came with a Misa figurine. She has a little skirt on. Me being naturally curious, I up-ended the figurine, and yeah, you can totally see her unda-warez. I felt kinda dirty for a few hours after that, and I haven't so much as looked at it since. :\

Dear blog thread,

Some of my friends invited me to their school dance yesterday, so I went. 20 minutes later, I left. It was lame as shit. I remembered why I never went to any of the dances at my own school. Maybe I should just stop hanging out with 17-year-old girls all the time.

Today, one of these friends threw a shitfit because apparently one of the kids there was giving her shit about wanting to make out with me. Well, if you don't want people to find out about shit and give you crap for it, don't talk about it to people. So I'm basically not going to that school ever again. I'm telling people that if they want to see me, they can come find me. I'm tired of making efforts to see people (especially when earlier, it meant a LOT of effort because of my commitment to my stupid TV show and all of that) and having this kind of shit flying my way.

I think I'm starting to go through depression again. Akademi had me high for a while, but now it's over, which means I have to move to the States again soon. As much as Albania sometimes drives me up the fucking wall, I love this place as much as I've ever loved any place. I'm getting really, really sad about the upcoming move, and how I'm going to have to start over again in Alaska now that a lot of my friends have graduated and are moving away.

Fuck, what happened to enjoying myself?

Love,
Me.

I have just finished revision/exams for the next few months, Huzzah and hurrah's all round. Also just beaten inFamous on the PS3, its quite a bit of fun have returned home and am enjoying it immensely.

Tommorrow I am cooking for the family and planning the rest of the week.

Any ideas as to what I should do?

I can't blame you; I probably would have done the same. Speaking of which, I should buy the series (not cause of the figurine =P, cause I actually want to own it). I have it on my computer, but that's not the same as having it on my TV. The girl I was talking about was in a group with this dude dressed as L, and another guy and girl who seemed to also be cosplaying, but I don't think they were Death Note related. Why they were cosplaying in a shopping center on a random day is anyone's guess. But if I see her again I shall try to strike up a conversation.

And I'm sorry about you having to move, that sucks. Having been to Alaska a number of times, I love the place but I wouldn't want to live there. I like living in densely populated Southern California.

I can't believe I spelled it wrong with the CD right in front of me. :( Prog-metal was just the closest approximation I could come up with off-hand after a quick listen. When I have more time I will listen to them quite a bit more thoroughly.

Blaggy,

While I was working today, my supervisors changed my schedule on me! Again. They do this without warning, you see, to keep you on your toes, and then don't tell you. It's not their job to tell you, I mean, what do you think they are? Your supervisors?

I didn't really feel like working today and was considering calling in too mental to work but decided that since I did that yesterday I may as well go. They stick me on Thunder Rapids, which was down most of the day, and I spend a bit of time wandering back and forth and thinking to myself, judging the other people I work with on their mannerisms and extrapolating their personalities from there.

After the ride closed down completely they sent me to a small ride, which was actually pleasant for once. Instead of dealing with hundreds of people alone as per the usual, there were only a few and I spent little time with them. I actually had quite a bit of time to myself and wrote out a bit of a song (which I may or may not burn at a later date) and sang to myself to pass the time. Led Zeppelin and Cat Stevens, half-remembered verses and rhymes, instruments only in my mind as my fingers run the scales in air...I left happy instead of my usual frustratingly stressed mood.

I've applied at Walmart today, as well. I don't expect it to be a much better job, but it's only a five minute drive instead of the forty-five minutes I'm doing now. I hope I get it. I'm going to be applying other places, as well.

Not to be the attention-whore or anything, but today is my birthday. I got Rock Band 2 (which is illegal here in Quebec). I also have a history exam on politics today and I hope I'll get plenty of hugs and kisses from people I love. Also, from that cambodian girl whom I have a super crush on.

So, yeah, I'm now 16 years old. Woohoo.

Love,
Anthony

Happy (belated as of now) birthday!

Also: Why do couriers like to keep things I spend money on hostage? Is it my hair? I mean, it's messy sometimes, but come on. I worked for this.

Happy birthday from me too!

And man, Marley and Me is a good movie. I just watched it. Not amazing or anything, but it's cute. So yeah.

I was going to make that post. But then I looked it up; it's because Quebec has some law about languages in video games and Rock Band 2 is only in one language or something and doesn't have French available and it seemed pretty ridiculous.

Today I played frisbee!!!! And Smash Bros. And went to the castle house. I need to find more things to do. I might be seeing Metric tomorrow but probably not but I sure hope so! Emily Haines alkdsfhadfgfdgfd

Oh man, I bet Metric would be so much fun live! (If it weren't finals week, I might consider making the 6-hour round trip to L.A tomorrow.  But it is.  So I won't.  Oh well.)  If you end up going, I'd love to hear a report.
