Guys, I have to downgrade myself to a "Maybe." I lost my job a bit ago, and it's taking longer to fix that than previously anticipated, plus my brother is now comitted to moving to another city, which is kinda crappy since we're splitting a place I couldn't afford on my own. As it stands now I could easily see myself having to using a big chunk of Chicagocon money just to live somewhere I can keep my dogs. Provided I can get a decent job, the housing downturn should actually work in my favor. Anyway, I'll make a decision for sure by the end of the month for simplicity's sake. You guys are rad, but I'm not planning on giving away my dogs.

I figured this was the best place to post this.

I am for sure going to Pitchfork this year(motherfucking The Flaming Lips and Tortoise!!!). I will be with my friend Davis who is another forumite(who I actually met via this board). As some of you know, its a music festival held in Chicago every year. I believe its the 17th-19th.

Anyone is welcome to join up with us or hang out with us. As of right now, I'm not 100% sure where we are staying but I will keep you updated, if anyone is interested.

Me too. But I've been waiting on some info. I'd like to know who's going to be sticking around past the official endpoint of the con. Reason I'm asking is that I may be meeting a friend in Chicago post-con, but her actually being there is not a done deal and won't be until a few weeks prior to the con. So what I'd like to do is get tickets that will have me in Chicago past the con, and then if my friend doesn't show up (even if she does, hopefully) I can stick around with a couple of other holdovers.

I'm gonna be honest here, we have no idea how many people are in the room (read: We don't really care as long as the room is paid for). The maximum is four, but how are they going to know that we have more than four sleeping in a room. They really don't care though, trust me.

OK we need some definitive numbers.

The Attendance List was last updated on the 25th so it shouldn't be that out of date. If you are not in the correct category, or not on there at all, please let someone know. The best thing might be to PM Liz so that she doesn't miss anything.

A new list will begin now: The Accommodation List.

If you are definitely without a doubt up for staying in a group in Chicago and want to pay an equal share of whatever we decide to book, please say so.
If you have alternative requirements, please also say that.
If you have a specific request or a great idea, please say that.

Edith has booked this house for Friday, 31st July to Tuesday, 4th August. That is four nights, and anyone who wishes to be in on this deal would be asked to pay an equal share of the cost regardless of how long they stay there.

A definitive list of who is staying in the House and who is not will be posted to the first page for ease of reference.

I don't know exactly where I'll be staying yet, but if I do stay with the main group it'll probably be through the use of a sleeping bag. Luckily I'm completely saved up for my goal of 500 bucks to spend in Paris, so this next paycheck will be the first one working directly towards Chicago.
