Personally ignoring doesn't have the same amount of kick as setting fire to something, but I suppose I could keep my pyromaniacal desires to myself.

There was a mention of it in the Gospels, but not a prohibition. I think the practice just died out over the millenia.
The problem with blowing things up is that it makes the victims into heros.
