innermoppet:
You know what cracks me up? How Sven made such a big deal of telling Dora that he was being honest and letting Faye know. Like he made that decision all on his own and it wasn't because his tiny little intern strong armed him into it. Now he is glaring at her because it turns out that telling truth has CONSEQUENCES. So he's happy to let everyone believe he made this grown up decision to tell the truth but then he is glaring at his intern because she MADE HIM DO IT. He is such a little bitch.
Oh and going back to yesterdays comic, did anyone catch the fact that Penny didn't say she wouldn't say mean things to Faye? She only said she wouldn't "accidentally" say anything mean to Faye. Purposeful meanness is still on I'm assuming. That was actually my favorite part of the comic.

Robertson head screws are much better than the Phillips
maddness:
I was reminded of a discussion several of us were having in another forum re: cheating. Guy posed a hypothetical situation in which a guy cheats on his fiance with an ex girlfriend shortly before the wedding. He regrets it and doesn't want to wreck the wedding, so he doesn't tell. A couple months down the road the ex contacts him to let him know she is pregnant, is keeping the baby and expects him to be involved. He tells his wife about the premarital cheating and resulting situation. The guy posting the hypothetical believes the the wife should try to be understanding and that the guy should get credit for telling his wife and being willing to be responsible where the baby is concerned.
My reply was:
if the man really was honest, I can almost guarantee you he would not have been married, because if he was really honest, he would have told his fiance about the cheating and odds are she would have called off the wedding. You make a conscious choice to cheat. There comes a time in any scenario where you decide to have sex with someone other that your partner. In the scenario you posit the man decided that his relationship with the person he supposedly loved enough to marry wasn't as important as his need to sleep with his ex. Would you want to marry a woman who chooses to cheat on you right before the wedding? And if he's that damned responsible, where was the contraception? The protection? I do think a man should be honest and take responsibility, but that's what being a real man is about. You're saying that he should get kudos for taking responsibility of a child he had due to having unprotected sex with someone other than his partner? I say no! He's still a bastard, just not an unmitigated bastard. It's like saying "Oh, you're not a complete and total asshole? YAY for you!"
I get into some of the most random discussions.
eddie:
Why are fleshlights so creepy? How come dildos, vibrators and other womens sex toys are ok but fleshlights are bad? Its only like a dildo for men.

I mean, i think the majority of us can agree that Sven's behavior is certainly unreasonable and immature. I'm also agreeing with a previous comment that Faye is doing... surprisingly well, to say the least. I think the creation of this sticky situation gave Jeph a lot of room to develop his characters.

can't say I agree, Wil is on my list of favorite characters.
is anyone else going to webcomics weekend? I tried to muster up some extra bucks to go but it looks grim for me. Jeph's comment on the tons of people going totally made the fruit even more forbidden. i'm bummin, man, i'm bummin.
