Ruined Gigs.
RallyMonkey:
Not gig ruining, but it definitely put a downer on the ending.
Saw The Decemberists at the House of Blues in Vegas. They put on a really fantastic show, and then went off. We yelled and screamed for an encore, and it took them awhile, but they finally came back out.
All of the members looked really oddly sad. Colin Meloy explained that they had a 45 minute encore planned, but they were just informed backstage that they could only play for 7 more minutes, as the House of Blues scheduled a band that plays covers of 70's disco songs that started at 11 o' clock, and they had to be off stage by then.
So then they quickly played a faster and shorter than usual version of The Mariner's Revenge and left the stage.

Yes because picking a fight with someone under the influence of alcohol is an idea that could never backfire.

My girlfriend thought that the Metallica concert she saw in Nijmegen in 2007 was ruined because the band did not play For Whom The Bell Tolls. Now, that's her opinion. However, this was the tour which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Master Of Puppets album which they played in its entirety. She has weird priorities.

I saw that tour as well, it was terrible they played for 3 fucking hours!

Man, i would've been so pissed at the venue for doing this.
Inlander:
On the other hand, a planned forty-five minute encore is a bit of a wank.
