Unfortunately, this poll doesn't contain any options that any sane person would choose.  It's like, "Hello, here's your infant child, would you rather strangle him, smother him, or beat him to death with a cricket bat?"

So "Hold a mature negotiation about their future" is not an option any sane person would choose? With all due respect, I disagree. It is perhaps an unlikely outcome in a world of messed-up people and wacky situations, but it would be a healthy one.

Further, despite all the progress she's made, "any sane person" is not necessarily the standard against which to evaluate a list of possible choices for Faye.

I think "Be just friends" is a good idea for her. It worked before. He was an honest but supportive person when she needed someone to talk to, and a good movie snarkbuddy. It's possible to recover to "just friends" after a detour like they've had, and awkward though it is to do so, it is still emotionally safer than re-attempting something sexual.
