Since this is about albums, not bands, surely we should be ignoring the bands all together? Every album nominated should go on, even if that means we end up with some bands with a couple of different albums on the list. After all, if we restrict it to one album per band then this is basically going to be exactly the same as the band elimination polls, since people will vote generally for the band they prefer in match-ups of different bands. If no one album by a band proves popular enough to go on the list, then too bad. However, I think increasingly tactical voting is not going to present much problem on this front.
