Brilliant.

But does anyone know who the old guy in panels 8 & 9 might be?

Favorite symbolism?  (I think Sven's baton is a nice touch).

I don't know... but if I were Jeph I would be mildly unhappy to see people talking about which characters they hated in my comic.  It would be like discussing which chapter you hated in a book right in front of the author.

You seem to be in the wrong thread, but...

One difference is that a chapter is directly the work of the author whereas a character is not necessarily written to be liked anyway. And the fact that what's being discussed is the characters' personalities rather than the quality of writing means it's not even really saying anything the author at all, except, you know, that he's able to write well enough to where people actually care about the characters enough to hate them.

You can't really hate a chapter for any reason other than writing quality, whereas that's far from the only reason you could hate a character.

Wouldn't mind? I'd take great joy in it.

With an itemised list detailing exactly how they suck.

Wouldn't discussing the characters you don't like in a comic instead be the same as discussing about the characters you don't like in a book?
