It's pretty much the best basic cable channel, actually, with Discovery. Between those two channels, I can sit in front of the TV all day and also not feel like I'm wasting my life because I know how to make a simple syrup for making cold liquids sweeter faster or holy shit did you know that a mako shark can go 20mph?

Also, Sam, I mean, I think it's a tossup between Alton and Bourdain, but whoever wins, we also win, because they both fucking kick ass.

Bourdain is more of a Travel Channel dude, though.

This. It basically is a Food Network profile only with the added benefit for the cook being profiled that they get to squeal over Bobby Flay in their house.
