That's not the obvious interpretation but there are several ways to agree with it.

Were you looking at how Faye refused to treat Sven as a friend, thus limiting the relationship to an unstable "adversaries with benefits" mode? Or to her setting unrealistic conditions on it? Or are you looking at it from an angle that I've missed?

I believe raoullefere to be speaking of Faye and Martin, not Faye and Sven.  At least that's what I assumed...

Couldn't agree with you more. God I miss winter....

Milesb:
Angus seems to lack the ability to make his intentions clear. He's been quite ambivalent to Faye about his stance recently, like Faye assuming Angus wants her number but he quite curtly plays it down? yet he's hanging around CoD like an orphaned puppy.

What Angus makes me think of is a guy who enjoys the status quo of flirting with a woman who he knows will very likely turn him down for any kind of meaningful relationship.

His lack of backbone would (in that case) be based upon how hung up he is over Faye. If he's that  into her he should man up or bail out.

raoullefere:
I'm (was?) talking about Faye and Marten.

But I also believe that with Sven, Faye started a relationship she was certain, perhaps subconsciously, would fail (why else pick the womanizer?). That may not be how it ended, but it was how it began, as I've opined before. So call it sabotage, too, if you like.

Milesb:
There's a reasonable argument either way for Sven-Faye sabotage. Pot calling the kettle black and whatnot.

But I agree competely that Faye sabotaged her and Marten. or maybe more like she realized he'd do her no good in the long term, who knows.
