I Like Hardcore Music. Do You Like Hardcore Music? - SAM, YOU MUST POST!

evilbobthebob:
This is just a perfect, perfect thread. I'm going to have to put OX up, as I didn't see it in any of the earlier posts.  Oh, and Introducing... by Bars. And Live the Storm by Disfear, I didn't see that either. I will also point all of you to the Deathwish Inc website, where they have some really nice samplers. The latest MMIX one is awesome.

Will:
Deathwish is hands down the best hardcore label in existence right now. Period. There's not a single band on that roster that doesn't deliver.

Also, those are all very good choices that you listed. I haven't picked up the new Coalesce record yet (payday tomorrow, fuck yes!) but the other two are solid. Bars is actually so much raw rock and roll, and Disfear is just friggin' Disfear.

evilbobthebob:
Thanks. I also like Blacklisted, The Hope Conspiracy, Shai Hulud, and some mathy stuff like Botch. When I'm not listening to hardcore it's punk, metal or various combinations of the two :-P

Well, here are those albums:

I'm not going to leave these up very long, maybe a fortnight or so. Go and buy them if you like them. *shrug* No one wanted them, oh well.

a pack of wolves:
As requested by Grimbo here is the final album by Kneejerk, the band Frank Turner (Million Dead, solo) cut his teeth in. It's very patchy, as you'd expect since the band are about 18 and are clearly influenced by bands from the more experimental end of hardcore like Refused and Canvas (actually I think I might put some Canvas up next, Lost In Rock is something of a forgotten classic to my mind). Turner can't really pull off the singing parts very well and the lyrics are pretty teenage on occasion, I'll admit to wincing now and again when listening to this. For all that though there is some great moments of emo metallic hardcore, and it does have a real ramshackle charm to it.
