That was part reference and part assumption of fact.

This bothers me, I have (seemingly?) intelligent friends that watch Gossip Girl with a faux earnestness that makes me more than a little grumpy. I think mainstream rap has been in this place for the Pitchfork crowd for awhile. When they DJ, they play Chris Cornell/Timbaland collaborations surrounded by Times New Viking songs.

I'm about ready to wash my ears and eyes out with acid.
