Seriously, if you're not willing to consider this option, then there's not a lot we can do to help, most of us not living in Tennessee.

i've been to nashville. i was just posting on the off chance someone actually might be from around here to help someone who's new to the area.
A Wet Helmet:
I drove through it Saturday. Man I get tired of I-40
True Story: I was driving through it once (I guess about 1990) and was flipping through the radio stations. It was like: Country, Country, Country, Country, HOLY SHIT THAT'S THE BAD BRAINS!!! It was one of the best radio stations I ever heard (KPOI in Hawaii in the mid-nineties was the best, WHFS in the 80's out of Baltimore was really good too, as was my University Radio Station-- Not that anyone cares.)
Cliff's Notes: I heard a good radio station in Nashville once.
onefineday:
there's a bluegrass station around paducah KY i found on the way to TN that tears it up. high 80s on the dial
Liz:
I was in Tennessee over spring break.
It is pretty okay I guess.
