The holidy was over and yet the halls were still festooned.

At her confirmation, she was festooned with white satin ribbons, dressed as the Bride of Christ.

Actually, I'm recalling a memory from when I was 10 or so, of the confirmation of a Catholic cousin - yes, that  one.
