Use the word "festooned" in a sentence.

So now I am curious. What would be the difference between a bedroom and a bedchamber? Is a chamber more of the stone-walled variety, or does it just have nicer/more expensive things within, or is it grander, or what? Do you have to pronounce it in a british accent? Do you have to use other archaic words in the same sentence or passage, like "Well, I'm off to the bedchamber for a quick jape"?
