Why IS Marten giving Angus the heads up?
The idea of the "pile of ladies" Dora once posited holds a certain level of attraction to him 2 (3.9%)
It's a decent thing to do, for both parties 25 (49%)
It was in the script? 1 (2%)
Never mind the dialogue, what is the rental fee on a mid-Victorian cut-away these days anyway? 23 (45.1%)

I don't think Angus' thought process is "dickish". He's just got out of a relationship that ended badly, so he may be thinking, "Should I? I mean if she's got hella issues, I may not be in a position mentally/emotionally to give her what she needs."

These two things you said seem to contradict each other.

WHAT IS IT WITH *BEARS* TODAY?!!
I was catching up on webcomics and caught today's Sluggy Freelance: http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=090616.
Then I read today's QC.
Then I figured I'd post and was a good boy and read forum rules, and caught the admonition to *NOT* be the guy in the bear-hat.
What is it with bears and their recurrence in pop literature? Is this some kind of cosmic convergence, or Smokey the Bear's birthday, or something? Bear-chronicity? The first sign of the bear-pocolyps?
LeeC:
Bears are the king of the forest, like how lions are the king of the savannah, or Elivs is the king of rock-n-roll (and sammiches)

This has always been my view on asking women out. The worst that can happen is they say no.
Well, actually, given my dating history I would say that is NOT the worst that can happen. Many of the worst things have actually followed them saying yes.
Still, it is better to make the attempt than to live forever with the fear of failure or the thoughts of what might have happened.
