maddness:
--- Quote from: SleeperCylon on 16 Jun 2009, 03:25 ---Isn't it a bit misogynist to avoid a woman because some other guy tells you vaguely she's 'crazy'?
--- End quote ---
Having her best male friend tells you she pushes guys she likes away and sleeps with guys she doesn't like because she has issues is a far cry from some guy telling you she's nuts.
--- Quote from: SleeperCylon on 16 Jun 2009, 03:25 ---Whether the person is a man or women it seems kind of dickish to decide somebody is 'too much of a hassle' because their legitimate emotional issues might require a little more understanding and patience than other people, especially if you're making the decision based on third person information.
--- End quote ---
He's been acquainted with her for some time now, it's not like he just met her. He's had plenty of opportunity to see her bitchy side. I think he's always figured that underneath the prickly exterior she was a pretty great chick. Only now her best friend is telling him that her issues might make it so that she never really gives him a chance. Anyone with half a brain would have to think on that.
LeeC:
worse things could happen but very rare. You could ask for their number because you thing they are rad, but then she kicks you in the balls. Never happened to me but My friend Kenny on the other hand...
Yeah best to just ask than torturing yourself (says the guy who is nervous about asking the cute girl in fye for her number) but hey go for it! Just dont obcess over it, else you will come off as unconfident and creepy.
I think Angus will go for it. I mean come on! Marten is just preping him for what is to be expected. The real question is: While this drunken talk goes on, what are the women talking about on their way home?
LTK:
Billiards. What else?
Is it cold in here?:
What's happening with bears is that we're finally facing up to and correcting all the wrong turns we have taken. Remember, bears are the answer to all our cultural missteps (#240).
Is it cold in here?:
Faye is not the only pretty, smart, and funny woman in the world. Angus is just being healthy in realizing that pursuing someone incapable of intimacy doesn't make sense.
He'll keep pursuing her anyway, of course. Though there could be a pretty dramatic story line if he doesn't.
