Ok, maybe the real reason for my headache is different, but I got it when reading todays comic.

According to #7, the absence of thumbs hinders game play for AnthroPCs.
We could assume that they electromagnetically couple into the game controller's signal line, but that isn't as funny as the broken logic of robots holding game controllers.
