I avoided Highway to Heaven like the plague. I had my own TV by then. Lived in another house, too.

As for twat, we've been using it here (take that as you will) since the 1980's, anyway. I know this because  while we were reading Milton (I think) my high school English teacher asked us what the 'fiery, burning gulf' where 'no one wants to go' was, and someone replied 'Your twat.'

Twit, on the other hand, has, so far as I know, never made it 'cross the pond in any big way. And yes, Penquin47, I, too, find myself using British slang and some syntax (it can be slightly different) when I've been reading one of their bloody novels. Or watching some of their grotty imported T.V. (courtesy BBC America).*

I've never told anyone I fancy them, though. I have some control.

*(YES, I'm kidding. I'm addicted to both Pratchett and Adams, watch far too much of Dr. Who, Primeval (first series, anyway), and Torchwood, and there may never be a better comedy series than Chef!. Although Coupling and One Foot in the Grave come close).

The Joker:

I prefer Highway to Hell.

Dora's tattoo is on the specials :D

maddness:
I grew up in Chicago, spent most of my teen years in Boys town, and I can tell you that the word twat was frequently made use of by the gay and lesbian folk.

The only slang Brit term I use is ballocks instead of bull shit in certain situations.

Yes, I know most people spell it bollocks, but I originally learned the term from books that used the mideveil spelling and my brain insists that is the way it should be spelled. This has also caused problems with me and words like flavor, glamor, favorite, etc. My brain likes to toss in that letter u.

P.s. .... How is Wil a douche? I don't think he's a douche. He may in fact be one of the least douche like characters in this comic!

Also, has anyone mentioned Faye's bear shirt yet?

Hockey puck ear piercings are usually a giveaway for Jeph...

--- End quote ---

It's not me. Also Cristi is not orange. So, no.
