Looking for new Metal Music

I've tried to have this dialogue before, particularly about fucking Mastodon, but apparently what is and is not metal is 'just my opinion'.
Could have tried drawing a little more distinction between bands you don't like and bands you are (as far as I can see absolutely correctly) asserting are not metal. The first actually is a matter of your personal opinion, and the other ain't. No wonder people can get so confused about metal if people go around apparently claiming that Children of Bodom are not a metal band. No matter how shit you think they are there is no way of getting round the fact.

That's the fucking reason... That's why most of the people who are not into metal think that metalheads are idiots. Because there are some that are going around telling what's metal and what's not. Nü Metal is metal.... A very bad subgenre but metal anyway and that's a fact.

Emmm... Maybe because Black Sabbath was a huuuuuge influence for the entire doom metal scene? There are a lot fo trademark stuff on Paranoid that sounds like doom metal.

Hey man.. there is a huge difference between that joke band Alestorm and Running Wild.... The later one is not trying to be a pirate. I'm not against "pirate music" ... I'm just against "stupid pirate music"
