I also wanted to review a band & discribe them as boredom meets distortion. I can't decide if they would be a fast band or a slow band, or whether it's a compliment or an insult.

Since the 'boredom' in "boredom meets distortion" as I applied it to Wavves doesn't refer to what the listener experiences, as you both seem to mean it, but rather to Nathan Williams attitude toward his music, I don't think it's really a compliment or insult so much as a neutral description.

But mostly, I don't want my post to be misread to say that I don't like Wavves. Wavves is great.

For the record, he's actually developing as a musician (his latest songs have been pretty sweet and free of his goth obsession) but I still don't see him as being a feasible live act yet.

He has his days. I saw a kinda shitty show, a pretty fun show, and he did pretty all right at p4k.
