The Books - The Lemon of Pink (Sucker for The Books. Also helps that I saw them live and it blew my fucking mind. Also they are very nice people.)
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (sorry, I love this album. sorry fugazi.)

MONO - Hymn to the Immortal Wind
Death from Above 1979 - I'm a Woman, You're a Machine
Battles - Mirrored (Another soul-destroying choice. As much as I love Happy Songs, I have to admit Mirrored is the better album.)

LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver (no contest.)
The Mountain Goats - All Hail West Texas (The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton. 'nuff said.)
Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People (And again, my soul is dead. The better album by a MARGIN.)
Green
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain (One of my favorite albums of all time, no contest)
BORIS - Akuma No Uta (One of the most badass albums I own. Inconceivable to NOT vote for this.)
The Postal Service - Give Up (Guilty pleasure sans the guilt.)
of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (Lifechanging album right here.)

Daft Punk - Discovery (If you don't like this album I don't think we can be friends.)
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy (If this was an award for "most emotionally devastating record of the decade" this would probably win)
ISIS - Panopticon (Sorry Animal Collective, but this is one of my favorite metal albums of all time. In Fiction melts me.)

Panda Bear - Person Pitch (Basically an AC album. Fantastic one at that.)

M83 - Saturdays = Youth (Cannot put into words how happy this album makes me)

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion (Screw you guys, this is a fantastic album of psych pop. Not the greatest album ever, no, but still emotive and danceable and interesting.)
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum
Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass
Sigur Rós - Agaetis Byrjun (At least this SR will make it through. Not much else needs to be said about this album. It changed my musical perspective forever.)

Arcade Fire - Funeral (Still gives me chills)
Radiohead - In Rainbows (Ditto)
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible (Amazing album, deserves way more praise than it gets)
Mogwai - Mr. Beast (Second favorite Mogwai album, which still ranks it above most everything else.)
