KaosPilot:
Yeah, Rangers on the whole are let down by some of their fans. See UEFA cup final 2008.

Rudi Voller:
Growing up in Scotland I've met a number of intelligent, knowledgable Rangers fans. Unfortunately, they aren't the ones who everybody hears on matchdays. The problem is the folk nailing a bottle of Buckfast on the way to the match then chanting. Certainly doesn't reflect well on the club, which is probably the reason a lot of folk hate them.

That and the fact that they are the club of the establishment and win all the time, of course. If it makes you feel better I don't like either of the Auld Firm, and would happily see the back of the both of them. Can't imagine you'd miss going to places like Kilmarnock anyway.

KaosPilot:
You're spot on about Rangers fans. The drink fuelled sectarianism and traditional unionism doesn't win a lot of fans.

KaosPilot:
This is very true. Walk down Union Street wearing a Celtic top and you're fairly safe. In a Rangers top? I've never worn my Rangers top in town without wearing a jumper over it. You'd think being a girl would make folk think twice but after almost getting lamped in a bar for just cheering when they won a game (against Fiorentina) I've decided to exhibit some common sense.

Seeing a lot of Leeds utd. love here though which is nice. My girlfriend got me watching them last season before the playoffs so it's been good to see them improve a lot under Grayson. She's mental about Leeds, being from there. I watched the Man Utd. v Leeds game down at her folks and it was brilliant, although the ball seemed to take forever to cross the line!

Don't remind me. I thought the planet stopped spinning for a second or something.
