Oh dear. That interception with 4+ minutes to go in regulation killed my hopes (and it was about 1 o'clock here already). Apparently the magic of the shamrock is still working.

I have managed to watch "BYU at ND" and "Pitt at ND" games. I would have wanted to see ND at Oklahoma, but prime time US is wee hours for me, so no chance of that. Frankly, the team that I've seen has not really looked like a title contender. Unless something unexpected happens it should be Bama vs. Oregon or Kansas State in the title game, Ohio State with an outside chance. Still, 9-0 and a possible invitation to a major bowl is quite an improvement from the preceding seasons. So Kelly's job is secure and my hopes in the coming seasons are high.

Hmm. Isn't the BCS title game pairing decided using some formula based on various polls and rankings? Last week the computers loved Notre Dame (strength of schedule presumably). But even so, ND is currently ranked third, and surely Oregon's strength of schedule went up as they beat USC? As did Bama's, but they probably should be in the title game anyway (unless they drop one before that).

The theory is, Bama will eventually fall to someone in the SEC - possibly in the SEC title game. The real question, of course, is whether or not K-State or Louisville can keep things up on their ends.
