Adam told me to do one, so here's my bedroom! Apparently the camera on my phone sucks. I have six pictures for you, and a lot of notes. Bear with me.
It was less tidy when I left my house, but apparently my mom tidied up while I was at work? My bed is usually never made.
1. "London Calling", original vinyl. I have a reissue, as well, for listening. I don't have a working turntable right now, though.
2. Danny O's "Fenway Park". Yay, collages!
3. Recliner that doesn't actually recline. It was downstairs for a while, used to be my dad's. Since I've moved it to my room (which has been over a year, now), the only person to ever sit in it was my ex. I don't know why I don't sit in it..it was my idea to put it in my room.
4. 8GB iPod Touch
5. Squier "Vintage Modified" Telecaster Custom (with a Lawrence Arms sticker)
6. Some distortion pedals sitting on top of my guitar amp (not seen: 1979 MXR Distortion +, or the amp itself). An EHX Double Muff (in box), and a Boss DS-1.
7. A pile of guitar cables, a power strip, and the red thing is a size 1 soccer ball.
8. Roll of bubble wrap
1. Concert poster. Next President (my friend Noel's old band) w/ special guests Morpholino. It was a pretty good show, and I love Noel's poster designs.
2. Hamper. Red t-shirt sticking out of it. I wore that to work on Saturday.
3. 30GB iPod with broken output jack
4. Alarm clock that doesn't really have a working alarm..
5. Weezer: Video Capture Device DVD. I use it to block the clock at night..I like my room really dark.
6. Night table. Bottom drawer is empty, top drawer has a pair of sunglasses, cash, and two cigars.
7. Funky stainless steel lamp. It's activated by touch, no switches.
8. Bed
9. Dresser. T-shirts and collared shirts.
10. TV
11. Nintendo 64
12. Playstation 2
13. Shelf containing an SNES, random controllers and old games
14. Wally the Green Monster
15. Random signed baseball caps. The 15 is over one signed by former Red Sox player/coach Johnny Pesky.
16. A penguin with a santa hat. I <3 penguins.
17. Postcard, signed by one of my all-time favorite hockey players, Patrick Roy.
18. A little scrapbook with ticket stubs from concerts and games that I've been to.
19. signed baseballs. The closer one is signed by Cubs 3B Amaris Ramirez, and the other by the entire 1949 Boston Braves team.
1. MacBook
2. Headphones
3. Desk
4. Chair
5. DVDs
6. Some random CDs
7. Where I keep shorts and sweaters
8. Here be underwear
9. Guitar stand, currently empty. Hope to resolve that soonish.
10. Tissues
11. My curious little radio. Because I'm kind of surrounded by mountains to the east, it picks up stations from NYC, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Montreal, and Toronto, but not Boston. I spend a lot of time listening to French-language news stations from Montreal, even though I don't understand 99% of it. I'd like to learn French though, it sounds really cool.
12. The Raymond J. Bourque memorial trash can.
1. Abbey Road, original vinyl. Kinda cliche, but I got it for a buck.
2. Fender Custom Shop calendar. November's guitar: a hybrid of a Telecaster and a Dobro.
3. The door.
4. Records. The bin's got stickers from record shops and labels on it.
5. The body, bridge, tailpiece, electronics, and pickguard from an old Teisco guitar. Maybe someday, I'll find a neck for it.
6. That brown case has some more CDs in it
7. Lightswitch
8. Actually, I dunno why I put an 8 down there. I can't seem to get rid of it, either.
1. MacBook
2. It's a window. I have a kinda cool view of downtown North Adams through the trees in my neighbor's yard.
3. Seagate 500GB external hard drive.
4. Sufjan Stevens' "Songs For Christmas" box set. I just re-ripped all five EPs onto my MacBook.
5. Target team member handbook and Starbucks dress code brochure
6. BRTA bus schedule for routes 1 & 12
7. Notebook
8. Sock drawers. The upper one is colored/striped/argyle, the bottom is just whites.
9. Random crap. Mostly guitar parts, picks and packages of strings.
10. Pens, pencils, random documents and notebooks
11. Some more cables, mostly of the iPod charging variety
1. Upper bookshelf. Yknow..books. There's also some old Pats/Red Sox media guides and yearbooks down at the end. I love looking through them and being mesmerized over how much advertisements have changed since the mid-1990s. The amount of text in ads now is absolutely minimal.
2. Lower bookshelf. Old tab books, magazines, and some Calvin and Hobbes collections in dire shape. I need to get the bound sets someday.
3. A wool Red Sox 5950. I will not get rid of this. New Era switched from wool to polyester a few years back, and you can't mess with the sizing on the poly 5950s like you can with the wool ones. I also usually store spare change on top of the shelf, under the cap. There's $1.66 there right now.
4. A wool-blend flat cap.
5. My fedora.
6. Closet. Where my coats/button-up shirts/jeans/random sports jerseys reside. I never noticed how figured/trippy the woodgrain is until I took this picture.
7. An xmas gift from my dad a few years back. It's "Electric Guitars: The Illustrated Encyclopedia". Lots of pretty pictures, but it's lacking on a lot of information, and missing quite a few old manufacturers.
