I so rarely care about lyrics. It takes some really obtrusively bad ones to ruin a song with a good melody (although I guess this thread is about trying to please everybody so whatev)

I really like this! Every time it seemed like it was going to start getting boring and repetetive it changed up. I didn't like the silly druggy psychedelic 60s lyrics much ("the flame is its own reflection", whatever you say fella) but that's not enough for me to veto it.
