Duke Ellington - C Jam Blues. Short, not repetitive but not overly complex (12-bar blues IIRC, but with almost constant improvisation from someone), no screwy use of instruments, seems like even if people don't love it, few people won't dislike it.

Why am I nominating something that is an old school classic by a black guy? Because if I posted Schoenberg, Webern, or Berg in here I'm pretty sure you uncultured jerks would veto it immediately. Learn to love the atonality.
