Marten & Dora at a Costume Party
« on: 28 Dec 2009, 09:59 »

This is a picture of my wife and me at a costume party last night dressed up as Marten & Dora (w/ a guest appearance by Pintsize!):

(My wife even cut her hair for the costume!)

Cool!  I wish I could pull something like that off.  But I don't resemble any of the cast.

Except maybe Mr. Bianchi.

With less hair.

And a beard.

And thick glasses.

Nevermind, I really don't look like anyone in QC!

Jimbo doesn't wear glasses... and that's not a beard, that's a few day's stubble under a 70's pornstar moustache.

Mabe you were thinking of someone else?

You look extremely close to what I imagine a real-life version of Dora and Marten would. Definitely awesome!  :-D

When i dye my hair black i could probably pass as a simulacrum of Marten, i have the blue eyes and propensity for wearing black hoodies (might be a little too tall tho, I'm 6'3"ish).

You've even got Marten's eyebrows and Dora's small ta-ta's down!

THAT's dedication my friend!

Well, the eyebrows could be pasted on (or shaved down) as needed.

The breast reduction on the other hand was probably a little much for a halloween party!

One of my wife's friends has abbreviated ta-ta's down to tots.  Remarkably close to tits.

Brings new meaning to "Are you gonna eat your tots?"

About the only QC character I could cosplay would be Chinese Delivery Man, and I'm the wrong sex for that.

If I shaved off most of the chin scruff of my goatee, didn't shave for a week, then put on a trucker cap and put in my lenses, I might could pull off Jimbo.

There's probably a name for that process in linguistics.

And I call trimming her hair to match Dora's a fair demonstration of dedication on the part of UTAlan's wife. I hope you guys won the prize.
