Hey bloggy, here in Melbourne we've been bestowed with this thing called a UNESCO City of Literature and as a consequence we've got this pretty cool new thing next to the State Library called the Wheeler Centre for Books, Writing, and Ideas and they run all sorts of fun and interesting things relating to books, writing, and ideas and one of the things they run is apparently a "literary speed dating night" where you bring along your favourite book and talk to people about it in a speed-dating scenario or something and they're running their second ever such night on the 10th of July and I just signed up for it on a whim.

I don't think I'll be able to pick only one book.

Also, I have a wonderful girlfriend now and it's awesome, I just picked up a prescription to fix my hands which have been dry and itchy for like 6 months. 125 bucks guys, 5 pills every morning. The pills cost almost a dollar each.

But at least my hands won't be completely fucked at work anymore.

Weird. What's wrong with them? Or do you just have super dry skin? If you do, you should try out Lush's Handy Gurugu. My boyfriend had really terrible dry, cracked, skin on his hands, and it got pretty painful for him. We ended up buying a little jug of this, and it has worked miracles for him. Seriously. His hands are super soft now. And they smell really good!

Blog thread, I have tonsillitis again. Fuck. It is roughly 3000000x more painful than last time and I have been confined to my bed for most of the week. I've finally got enough better that I can sit up for a while without crying with pain but it's still not great.

I'm supposed to be spending the week painting the ADC theatre but instead I'm sat in a very nice, hotel-style college room. Getting a tad bored, I have to admit. I went to the doctors this morning for an unrelated issue (turns out my body doesn't store iron! Waddaya know!) and after almost fainting in the pharmacy got back with a huge bag of medication because I thought I had lost the bag with my Pills in it. I've now found said bag, meaning I've got eight months worth of contraceptives. Also three months of ferrous gsomething or other for the iron tablets, and I just polished off a packet of Ibuprofen. The whole "I don't take medication" thing has had to go out of the window.

To top it all off, there might possibly be a girl. She got drunk at a party on Saturday and kept trying to kiss me, but I figured she was just being drunk so I didn't let her (pretty difficult to manage, frankly). It seems she wasn't just being drunk, but I have no idea whether it'll go anywhere. We'll have to wait and see, it'd be nice if it did.

And that's the shape of my life this week, I guess. I have to lug all my stuff across town tomorrow to put it in a friend's garage, which means I should really repack it to try and make fewer boxes. Said girl and I spent most of Sunday packing it and there is a metric fuckton of stuff. I have no idea what most of it is, which suggests I don't really need it.

hm, maybe I should try that stuff. The middle finger on my right hand gets so dry and cracked that it bleeds and I can't straighten it out. Some days it's like I'm walking around with claws. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong because it hasn't bothered me enough to find out, but it certainly seems like more than just run of the mill dryness because the nail on that finger is also deformed.

I basically have eczema on my hands.

So, my sister is a crazy bitch. I would like to move out quite a bit, but I'm having problems with how much money it will cost. I make roughly $1400 a month at work and I know that just the stuff I have to pay for (gas, car payment, phone/insurance, apartment, bills) will put me just under that. If I cut down on stupid spending and eat at work most days I could do it maybe.

I need ideas of how i can save money guys...

Been there, done that. Consistent use of Lush products helps loads. At least for me.

Yesterday the news came that an ex student of my girlfriend has died in a stupid, stupid car crash. She was upset so we watched Dexter.

How that is related I honestly don't know. But she felt better, so meh.
