QC's TV Legacy
« on: 24 Feb 2010, 16:09 »

We were discussing "augh" as a legacy of Charles M. Schulz in the WTC. Others are "Good grief," security blankets, and that beagle.

If they ever make some QC TV specials, I wonder what sounds or other icons Jeph would popularize?

There's the 'lion' thing, but beyond that, what else?

It just occurred to me Pintsize, Winslow, and possibly Momo replicas of some sort would be inevitable, from Japan, if nowhere else.

This is a thread for misunderstanding. I thought you were expressing disbelief.

Trying to remember if Fay's just said "ass-balls" before, too.

Assballs

The specials on the blackboard could be like the couch gag on the Simpsons.

Pizza Girl would work well as a recurring visual.

Pizza Girl, and her arch-nemesis Chinese Delivery Man, would be a recurring action-adventure cartoons or ads (or both?) on the TV that the QC-ites watch, much along the lines of Itchy & Scratchy.

Their occasional apearances in real life, delivering the fine comestibles they're known for, would have the same kind of responses from the studio audiences that you'd get whenever a guest visited Pee-Wee's Playhouse...

You're a sick man, Carl-E.

I like the ideas of different specials on the board in each episodes opening credits. I also have a vision of worry hats becoming a fashion statement.

I have a vision of collectible Worry Hats that chime and announce different "stat boosts" whenever you put them on, possibly in reversed glowing letters so you can see them in the mirror, that improve as you wear the hat more. They will be a sort of combination of Tamagotchi and Pokémon but for the hipster set.

We'll be bajillionaires by lunchtime and destitute by breakfast.

Also, I thought it was Chinese Delivery Man (hence the "CD" on his uniform)?

Quite correct: http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=399. He has mad kung-fu skills of course, throws exploding fortune-cookies, and carries an MSG-ray-gun that makes his targets think they're having asthma attacks and heart palpitations, but it's all in their minds!

Why, THANK you. I just now noticed that this comic was the one and only appearance of Chinese Delivery Guy!

Now I gotta change the cast list, though...  :|

You may ask yourself, What is that beautiful house?
You may ask yourself, Where does that highway lead to?
You may ask yourself, Are I right, am I wrong?
You may say to yourself, My God, what have I done?
Fixed.
