--- Quote from: Akima on 11 Mar 2010, 17:10 ---Of course he could have an unplanned pregnancy followed up by a miscarriage. But no sane webcomic artist would dream of running a story arc as tasteless as that...

Especially not one named Rene Engstrom

Anders Loves Maria doesn't have a miscarriage in it...

Well, Rene never really revealed what happen to Maria and Bjorn's baby. Unless I missed something? I assumed it was a miscarriage, since Maria was initially so outraged by the suggestion of aborting her baby.

Lets face it, as more and more webcomic artists reach a certain age, pregnancy/marriage/miscarage/divorce arcs are going to become more and more common.
Personally I thought the CAD arc was really well done. The characters really developed during it. I can't really comment on any of the other comics that have been mentioned here though, as I don't follow them.
bicostp:
What development? The whole resolution of that arc was:
Lilah: I'm sorry I miscarried.
Ethan: Yeah well you better be.
Videogames. Heh.
Then after 5 months of lazy video game jokes, we go back to the main cast cleaning up after another one of Ethan's "wacky" adventures as though Loss never happened.
JD:
That's the CAD we know and don't really love all that much.
