Is she bigger than a cabbage patch doll?
We could dress her up like Cabbage Patch Sarah Palin.
Gyaah! Put it away, hurry, before it starts to... it's too late
run! Er... Sheltered? A bit of cultural myopia there, I think. Snubnose's country is listed as Germany. I have no idea how common Mexican-style food is there. Do you? It's not exactly the most common eating in Australia for that matter (Chinese is far more widespread
). I only knew about tacos from Old El Paso commercials on TV before I ate them for the first time while on a business trip to Texas. Or was that fajitas? It was the first time I had eaten Mexican food anyway.
More common than you think (and yes, I did see that he was German), but thanks for the accusation of myopia: I only spent 3 months in Germany (Bremen specifically, with the family of an exchange student that stayed with me for a year (who knew the cuisine before he stayed with us (hey English teachers, what do you think of nested parentheses?))). I never actually ate at a Mexican restaurant there because there was no point, but I did see several. Google map of
mexican restaurants in Germany. And thanks for snipping the part inconvenient to your accusation of myopia; you know, the part where I said
Refusing to learn about a meal on the assumption that it always includes meat- even if it did, which is definitely not the case with tacos- is just willful ignorance.
As in, making assumptions and
refusing to inform himself is what was annoying to me,
not his vegetarianism. I have friends, good friends, and an uncle that are vegetarian and are nice- but far too many that I meat are stuck up and self righteous about their choice, just like Prius owners- and before you nail me on
that... my mother drives a Prius. The most acceptable targets are the one you know personally.
Cue twenty gazillion posts of the "OMG Faye looked up Momo's skirt, that means she's totally teh lezzorz amirite guyz, FoMo is my OTP" variety.
Lesbian? No. She's robo-curious. Or maybe bi-technosexual.
Pictures and recipes and niceness.
...Or maybe we all should have done this first. Bravo to you JackFaerie, for doing what we did not, preferring instead to squabble. I bow before your superior skills at conflict avoidance.
