I was reading a thread here when my mom peers over at my screen and says to me,

The Digimon show was much easier to get emotionally invested in because it had conflict and the characters had interesting relationships. Game-wise, of course, it's all about the Pokemon.

Actually I think I really liked one of the Digimon world games, mostly because it was a 3D virtual pet. But then Monster Rancher did that way better.

Exactly that! I had "Sticks and Stones". Now I know, he was an ENEMY.

Just as a point of reference, Gobots came first. I remember when Transformers first came out a friend and I having a conversation about how badly they were ripping the Gobots off. Next thing you know... Transformers had total market share. Never quite figured out how that happened since they were essentially the same thing. Better toys, I guess.
